River North Community Fund is a named fund of the Australian Communities Foundation led by local residents for the benefit of local residents. We are dedicated to empowering for-purpose organisations such as charities and social enterprises, growing champions for our city's tomorrow and enabling collective giving and volunteering efforts. 

Through collaboration and support, we aim to address local challenges, create a culture of service and connection as well as enable a thriving future for residents.

A community fund (sometimes referred to as a foundation) is a charitable organisation, established and managed by local people, that aims to build a permanent pool of funds to address the needs of their specific community through grants and other initiatives. 

Empowering for purpose organisations: To uplift innovative organisations creating sustainable and equitable change by supporting those in need, creating economic opportunities and addressing local challenges.

Inspiring civic leadership: To empower community voices and foster collaborative leadership to drive positive change and create a thriving, inclusive future for all residents.

Enabling community led volunteering: To create a culture of service and connection, enabling individuals to make a meaningful impact through volunteerism and participation.

We are an engaged community fund committed to maintaining transparency and working together toward a brighter future for the City of Moreton Bay and its surrounds. Currently, we are co-designing our priorities with the community, and for the time being, are focusing on the following key activities:

• Grow the River North Community fund and distribute the first round of community grants.
• Create a network of community leaders focused on putting compassion into action.
• Engage local government partners.
• Amplify and host initiatives such as collection drives and volunteer events.
• Connect, learn and collaborate with purpose driven organisations.
• Showcase local, impactful opportunities to participate in.
